Of Bwindi website!
We are a UK-based charitable organisation (formerly known as 'Friends of Bwindi Orphanage') set up in May 2007
to support the community around Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest in south
west Uganda, particularly orphaned and vulnerable children. Our organisation is run by volunteers working from home, so overheads are minimal. We do not send mass mailings or similar publicity, but you are welcome to subscribe to our occasional newsletter
We are supporting several individual students and organisations in the region.

Are you a UK taxpayer?
Help us to claim a payment from the Inland Revenue! We can now claim gift aid payments from the Inland Revenue on eligible donations made since June 2007. Using Gift Aid we could receive an extra 28p for every £1 of eligible donations - that's £2.80 for every £10 and £28 for every £100!
If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can also reclaim some tax in your Self Assessment form - currently 25p for every £1 donated. If you are unsure whether you have already sent a declaration already please complete the form just in case!
