Internet auctions

Two members have joined an informal eBay group, ‘Monthly Daft Charity Coalition’ (MDCC). Members list up to five items each on the last Sunday of each month except December, with auctions ending the following Sunday. We include MDCC in the titles to make the items easily searchable, and the proceeds go to our favourite charities and good causes. Items are not necessarily sensible! We chat on the ‘Round Table’ community board on eBay.

This has been very successful so far and has resulted in several donations as well as the sale prices of the items.

We have now opened our own eBay account, *FriendsofBwindiOrphanage*. We will aim to list with MDCC each month so please look out for our auctions!

If you would like to donate items for us to sell please contact us. We can also make use of jewellery findings and other craft materials (perhaps from an abandoned hobby?) and have a volunteer who can sort out your old stamp collections for us to sell.
